Join axelar interchain

I think Hydra should join axelars interchain. This would automatically put hydra in comparison with top chains. Where people will choose the fastest, most reliable and cheapest chain to conduct transactions. It also has a networking effect, much needed for hydra.
It is a rather simple task for the hydra developers to complete, and without any downside.

May we vote on this Myra?

Below is instructions from axelar admin:

Adding new chains is a seamless and permissionless process thanks to the Interchain Amplifier built on top of Axelar. This now allows chain integrators to add chains permissionlessly. If you are looking to integrate with Axelar, you can learn more here: Introduction to the Interchain Amplifier | Axelar Documentation.

Hey Jim. In terms of speed, fees and end to end finality we seem to be already good and at par / near with the faster chains out there, especially with Prometheus adding a horizontal scalability layer. A bit more details on the need and expected outcome would be great. So for now my questions for this would be

What are the technical benefits to this integration ?

Would there be any value gain to the ecosystem? Appreciate that you mentioned there will be no downside and it is a simple task

Are there any expected costs ? If yes, then please share some broad level details

Thanks!

Stone

Axelar interchain is basically their way of connecting multiple chains without a bridge. It means people using axelar for their projects and transactions, will have to choose one of the integrated chains for their transactions.
If hydra is a top choice in the speed, cost and security, they might choose hydra. Its basically free marketing and free on-boarding if they choose Hydra.

Hello Jim! Thanks for sharing about Axelar’s interchain. Does indeed seem interesting.

I will review the technical documentation from Axelar and put this across to the engineering team to review the pros and cons.

In the meantime, if we have any information that could prove vital (technically speaking and not already in their documentation) please feel free to share.

Hello,
I do not have technical background so cannot comment on that. But since they used the word “seamless” I’m guessing its a piece of cake for the current Hydra developers.
What I do know is that projects deciding to use Axelar interchain, are able to add a number of integrated chains to deploy natively on, using the same salt. Which somehow means all added chains can then transact bridgeless for the specific coin.
It means that Hydra can get automatic on-boarding for several projects. Transactions would depend on which chain the users/the project find most convenient.
It puts Hydra next to other chains in a comparison view. Which is excellent. What Hydra really lacks is partnerships and integrations. If not for transactions, then for the visibility and free marketing it provides.

In my opinion, integrations and partnerships is of such importance for a project like Hydra, that you should even have a specific employee doing only that.
